Faster - - at what?  Straight line - - Viper is very quick with 0-60 @ 3.6 seconds.  Slightly quicker than a Lotus Exige S240, but slower than most Caterhams, all Ariels.  And among more expensive Europeans, 911 Turbo/GT3/GT3RS, some Ferraris, Bugattis etc

Get into the corners and the list grows a lot.  Around a track, the Viper is quick because of its speed on the straights but I'd think that an Exige S240 would probably set quicker lap times due to its much higher corner entry and exit speeds.

A road going Caterham 7 will blow away a road going Viper around almost any track EASILY.

The car was banned from racing in the USA in the 1960s, as being "Too fast to race" and again in the UK in the 1970s for the same reasons.

In 2002 an R400 won its class (and came 11th overall out of 200 starters) at the Nürburgring 24-hour race by 10 laps, ahead of competition that included Porsche and BMW racecars, leading, once again, to a ban on entry in subsequent years.

It doesnt matter...slower or faster...the Viper is still the superior car because it is a Viper....but I am just a tad bias. lol

Let's see... so which cars made in Europe are slower than a 2009 Viper?  And which are faster?

While there could be many ways to measure what is faster or slower, the fact is, that in any circumstances, there will always be a minor difference.  This is important, because:  in order to find the cars that are either faster or slower, the quickest route would be to find the car or cars that are exactly the same as a 2009 Viper.

And since the minor differences will always mean none are exactly the same, your answer is simple.

ALL European cars are either slower or faster than the 2009 Viper.  Every single one of them!  However, none of them will be faster AND slower (it will be just one or the other).
