  1. Well to start- English. But I love SHOW JUMPING! More specifically, if your good, the jump off! I love jumping, but hunters are so uptight (in general, not picking on anyone!) and very "brandy" (have to have the "cool" brand, Wintec, Pessoa, whatever.). Jumpers really don't care what you look like. Also, you can't say the judge is playing favorites. It's just you and the jumps and the clock.  And the clock doesn't lie. The jump off is so much fun, trying to go as fast as you can, without hitting anything. I don't know, it's just exhilarating! What do you do?

  2. Western games and English Gymkana's are the best.

  3. I really like show-jumping. The courses are beautiful and I think it truly tests the relationship you have with your horse and how good of rider you are. You have to make quick decisions and translate them to your horse.

  4. I jump and I am also starting a bit of dressage.  And while those are both fun, I think the most rewarding thing I do with my horse is to ride him bareback.. You just feel so much closer.

  5. I like western the best. I feel like its so hassle free and relaxing. It's just you and the horse moving in sync together. I don't have to worry about whether or not I'm doing something correctly. I feel all tense and nervous when I ride English because I feel like everything has to be picture perfect (nothing is wrong with that) but it's not like I'm going to have a perfect ride every time. With western everything just slows down and I have a chance to realize that their is nothing better than getting on a horse. That feeling of being free, being somewhere else where you don't have to worry about anything.

  6. Oh, that's a hard one, I like all of the disciplines.  The reason why I like western is because there are so many different things incorporated in it, such as: barrel racing, cow sorting, team penning, roping, western pleasure, and so much more.  I like english for the jumping.  I love the exhilaration I get when me and my horse go over those jumps.  I like dressage because of the work that is put into those moves, and the horse still looks graceful.  It's so hard to choose because every horse is good at something different, and every horse makes each discipline enjoyable in it's own way.

  7. All of them

  8. I love jumping you get the thrill of going fast over fences and i love it. you can fell the wind on your face and if you have a good horse and do everything right it will fell like your flying or floating on a cloud. when you get better and better you can do oxers which are wider and go higher! the thing is you have to do lots of work without stirrups cus if you lose a stirrup over a jump and dont know how to handle it, it could end up to be a mess!

  9. RODEO BABY - Only the timed sports (barrel racing/pole bending) as its just you and your horse - NO JUDGES that can cast bias opinions on how you do or dont show your horse.  Only judge is the timer!   That's the way ALL sports should be handled!

  10. barrel racing all the way

  11. As a spectator I love to watch cutting.  Cutting horses are so agile and smooth and they almost seem like they could work without a rider.  I have a Quarter Horse/Paint that would have made a good cutting horse, she's kind of cow-y.  And I think cutting is kinder to the cows than roping.

  12. I love show jumping! It's so exiting, It fells like you are soaring through the air and realy gives you a sense of freedom!

  13. Barrel racing. It's such a simplesport to the outside world, but there's so much to it that when a non-barrel racer starts barrels, they're amazed at how complex it is. And the adrenaline rush is the most amazing feeling in the world!

  14. Cuttin'- You think jumping is tough? Try sitting on a horse that can move laterally so fast it can leave you sitting in mid air like a cartoon character.

Reining- 21 foot slides and pivoting spins. Nuff said

Ropin'- Use it everyday as it is mights well try to win some money while I'm at it.

Saddle bronc- Power, beauty, precision, timing. Ballet on dirt!
