  1. She was born the youngest of thirteen, and they didn't have a lot of money - this taught her to appreciate the value of life rather than the value of money. Also, her family is very musical, and growing up in that environment made her realize early on that she has a deep connection with and love for music.

When she was in her early twenties, her 16 year old niece, Karine - passed away from cystic fibrosis. Ever since her tragic death, Céline has been the National Celebrity Patron for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

In 1999, her husband/manager was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy. Thankfully, he has made a full recovery - but this forever changed Céline as well as her marriage. René needed her for a change, and she was able to step up and take charge. She realized during this time just how strong she was. The bond between her and René grew to a level neither one could imagine. This led to Céline demanding they take a long break to rest and try to have their miracle child.

Most of all, the birth of her son René-Charles and becoming a mother have changed her life most of all. She no longer focuses entirely on her career, nor does she have anything more to prove to the industry. Succeeding as a mother has become her number one priority.

  2. She met Rene. Her brother phoned him when she was 12.
