  1. It's pretty old and falling apart from what I understand

  2. It's used.  To sell oil to Japan.

  3. We did. Alaska ran dry.

  4. You never hear about it because it is operating well and efficiently. Only problems and disasters make the news. The Alaska pipeline is alive and well. It is used 24/7/365, is well maintained and in good condition. Intelligent pigs are periodically used to map the pipeline and verify the wall thicknesses are still good.

Unfortunately, Prudhoe Bay is only producing less than  1/2 of what it used to. Since the oil in Anwar is less than 100 miles from the pipeline, once drilling and production starts in Anwar,  the oil can be transported through the pipeline.

By the way, while it is legal to sell the oil from the Alaska pipeline, it is still virtually all used domestically, not sold in Asia.

    Aleyeska operates the pipeline:

  5. The Alaskan pipeline is used every day, to transport oil.  It carries about 720,000 barrels every day.  Wherever did you get the idea that we can't use it?

And by the way, your poor spelling, grammar, and punctuation makes you look kind of dumb.  Cool people don't want to hang around with dumb people.

  6. the alaskan pipeline is close to the arctic wildlife where animals live. if we continue drilling, then we would kill some species of animals.
