I guess you could call it a "format adjustment."

Radio's in a very strange place right now. Star's sister station, KBIG, played essentially the same music, so the powers decided to move to a more rocky, alternative format so one station wasn't stealing audience nor ad dollars from the other. This also called for a change in air talent and the rest is history.

But it's something that happens every day in radio. Change is not unusual - status quo is. In this case, Jamie White also made some enemies with the other air talent. That may or may not have led to the change.
