What ever happened to Lane's dad on Gilmore Girls?

We don't know.  She mentions her father repeatedly during early episodes, and refers to "my parents" even after a couple of seasons.  We never do see her father, or hear anything else about him, and nothing else is ever mentioned about him.

yes in the early episodes she always said " my parents would kill me" but we never see her dad.... and then its always just her mom....i was wondering that myself. LOL
