Question:

What ever happened to U.S. Military installations in Panama after they were handed back over to the Panama?

I know their was an abundance of prime real estate, ie housing, movie theaters, shopping facilities, on the bases. What did the government of Panama do with places like Fort Clayton and Howard Air Force base?

  1. the government turn it into housing and commercial projects. Also, Clayton is the headquarter for the City of Knowledge, a conglomeration of graduate-level educational programs and research centres.


  2. I was just there and as the person above stated there are a lot of housing developments and shopping.  I was at Clayton and there are both Higher Ed institutions as well as High schools and Non-Profits.
