What ever happened to "global cooling?

AHHH the earths gonna go into an ice age!!!! and now were AHHHHH earths gonna burn.

The story about global cooling is wrong.

Only a few scientists said it.  They were not supported by major scientific organizations.  In no way was this anything at all like the overwhelming scientific consensus today, backed by overwhelming data.

In fact, the "global cooling" advocates resembled the global warming skeptics of today.  Few in number, with theories but little data to back them up.   More here:

1- When was the last time you heard about this global cooling and

2- was it ever attributed to human activities?

For the record, global cooling was some sort of a fad, and never had significant scientific support.  One cannot use the claims of a few ill informed individuals 30 years ago to dismiss the findings and conclusion of an overwhelming body of respected sceintists, just because their conclusions are just opposite.

OK Vince....Global Cooling had tons of scientific explanation like global warming does today. And global cooling was supposed to be mainly the fault of humans. It disappeared cause Al Gore came in and he said "alright we are getting nowhere with this global cooling plan, umm lemme think, AHAH i got it...Global Warming..."
