Apparently the "team" wasn't playing nice. Here's one release. there are others not suitable for this board:

<<Miami, FL. – There have been news circulating all across Miami that The Big Lip Bandit Morning Show, which has been the most listened to morning show in Miami for the past several years, has been officially canceled. This abrupt change has come at a sudden time when the listeners were just getting use to Benji Brown and his list of characters. There has yet to be any news releases from WEDR 99 Jamz concerning the sudden cancelation, however a new morning show has been announced sometime yesterday morning.

According to Syndication One and WEDR, the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, a syndicated radio show out of Dallas, Texas, will permanently replace the Big Lip Bandit Morning Show and debut on July 7th. There scheduled time slots will cover 6am to 11am ET, Monday through Friday.

Jerry Rushin, General Manager of Cox Urban WEDR-Miami, recently commented on the sudden change, this is what he had to say:

“We are excited to bring this brilliant morning program to Miami. Rickey and his crew have an unmatched combination of humor, compassion, creativity, and star power that makes for the kind of radio we haven’t heard in a while.”

At press time, there hasn’t been any word if the Big Lip Morning Show staff, which consists of the Big Lip Bandit, Supa Cindy, and Benji Brown, is still under employment with Cox Urban WEDR.
