What ever happened to the princess anastasia?

I believe she was killed along with her family, but I understand how people can want and hope for the opposite to be true - this was a terrible fate for those children!!  They were innocents, and murdered for the beliefs of their parents.  People so badly want to believe that at least one of them escaped alive, because that would be a great thing to have part of that royal family still living.  But unfortunately I don't think we have that hope anymore, it's been proven that Anastasia is in fact dead.
