  1. cedar trees.maple, any kind of pine......but you have to buy the big trees and put it down.....

  2. I recommend using a "Green Giant" Conifer, which grow 3 to 5 feet a year!  We have these in our yard, and they grow very quickly, with little maintenance besides trimming.  They are good for zones 5-9. You can check your zone here - http://www.usna.usda.gov/Hardzone/ushzma...

These should be available at most nurseries, and there are also companies who sell them online.

  3. I live in zone 6b and use Leyland Cypress (Cupressocyparis leylandii) for a quick growing screen plant.

  4. If you live in Zones 5 thru 9, Thunja Green Giant is the plant for you.  The Thuja Green Giant is the Fastest Growing  Evergreen Tree (3-5 feet per year once established). Thick, compact privacy screen. Easy to Grow.

"Quickly screen out neighbors or unsightly areas....without taking up a lot of yard space..."

    • Grows up to 3-5 feet per year once established

    • Drought tolerant

    • Disease & insect resistant

    • Easy to grow & very adaptable

Thuja green giants grow in a uniform shape and height. You get that classic French Renaissance look without having to prune or shear.

In fact, you don't have to do anything to them. They're drought tolerant and have no significant insect or disease problems.
