  1. My guess would be to help protect the eyes.

  2. Darwin's theory on evolution.

Your body will adapt to the environment. If you are white and moved to the north or south pole. your body will adapt and when you have children and they have children ect..ect..ect...

Their bodies will adapt. Extra fat, darker skin, more hair, eye lids more puffy and perhaps the lenght of the body shortens(eskimo?).  So there was a change in thier eating habits that could have changed the cheeks or the way they hunt..

  3. None.  As a native American perhaps we just thought they were attractive and bred for them.  Seriously however it is in our genetics.  Just as the predominate blood type is O.  We were isolated for a long time.  Still wish we were.

  4. High Cheek bones was first derived from the Indians.  Including the Eskimo Indian from Alaska..... and then just passed on to future generations.... Why??  Don't know .... they were here first. They were here before the Pilgrims...etc......
