  1. A test that is required for many colleges that you take in high school.

  2. A College Board tests that measures your ability in a specific subject.

They are graded on a scale from 200-800 (like a section of the SAT)

Colleges with higher standards require them.  Check the websites for colleges your interested in to see if and how many they require.  If they do require them, they usually require you to take two or three.

There are 16 different options for which ones you take:

    Math 1

    Math 2

    Biology

    Chemistry

    Physics

    US History

    World History

    Literature

And eight different foreign languages you can take.

It's best to take each test right after you completed the course in High School (while it's fresh in your memory).

They are offered on every testing date the SAT is and you can take up to three different subject tests on each testing day.
