What exactly are tea games?

I'm a bit confused to exactly what "tea games" are, and what the phrase means in the UK and around the world.

I always thought that it referred to children's party games but apparently it also refers to hen night games and flash games played online too in some parts of the world.

What does the phrase tea games mean to you and where in the world are you?
