Question:

What exactly are the educational benefits for Military officers?

I am confused about the educational benefits between the enlisted personnel and officers. I know there are Tuition Assistance and Montgomery GI Bill and I should take advantage of both. But in the Air Force, it seems that the enlisted personnel enjoy more benefits than officers. Am I right?

  1. Officers are accorded the chance to attend NPS or the AF's equivalent at Wright Patterson AFB to get their master's degree on the Military's dime.

  2. An officer already has a B.S. or higher. He no longer needs educational benefits.

An enlistedman generally has no degree, so he might like college paid for.
