What exactly changes the price of stock? I mean pessimisim lowsers the price, so it cant just be some robot?

I don't mean what effects the stock market, but what exactly day to day is in charge of moving the "points" down or up?

buying and selling the stock affects the price..a huge sell off lowers it, and a huge buy ups it. speculation as well. if someone thinks that the stock might do something or have some upcomming news, then he/she pumps the stock up so people buy more shares. volume is an improtant thing to watch on a stock, plus ask price.
