  1. No, he was a Republican.  Big difference between that and a conservative.


  2. With time things change.  Its getting harder to stay on the cutting edge with Russia and China on the rise.  

  3. He meant that a powerful military industrial complex would manipulate the country into unnecessary wars, like Viet Nam and now Iraq. His words were so true, but, no, no one listened.
