I know about the defunded library and the funded hocky rink in her home town. Republicans keep telling me she has achieved so much for the state.

How about a concise list of her accomplishments as governor.

Even just a few, spelled out so we can appreciate them.

Serious answers only.

  1. She cut back on 265 million in state spending this year which deemed her a "fiscal conservative" and she also fired her sisters ex-husband.

  2. --she approved the construction of an oil pipeline in the state of Alaska that could supply 7% of the US's energy needs

--raised taxes on oil companies' profits

--As mayor of Wassila, she had her own salary cut

--Also as mayor, she resigned her position of chairman of ethics commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and reported a fellow commissioner for improperly raising funds

--she ethics reform bill regulating lobbyist activities and forcing more disclosure from lawmakers (my favorite)

  3. Um... uh..... mm...... that's a toughie... I think she made Alaska more wealthier? Oh wait, any governor  would have made that state wealthier, look at all the oil that's coming from there.

  4. Here are a few of the major ones.

She won the republican nomination to be governor be running on a ethics platform. She replaced a governor who had many corrupt deals with big oil. Don't forget, a republican governor.

She publicly attack Republican Senator Ted Stevens about his ties to oil. Again, a republican senator.

She killed the symbolic "bridge to nowhere" project and reduced Alaska's budget by millions in earmarks.

Symbollically, she sold the gubernatorial jet, returning millions to the Alaskan people. She felt that it was a waste. She also significantly reduced her own salary. It shows that she is serious about reducing waste.

  5. She prevented the Russians from invading and she helped get that Bridge to No Where project rammed through congress before turning around and killing it as governer.

  6. Like the Obama Supporters keep telling us ... Research it yourself !!!

Obama is going to give our sovereignty over to the United Nations through his Global Poverty Act (S.2433).

Alaska Govermor Sarah Palin has MORE TOTAL political experience than Obama.

  7. She resigned her post as Commissioner for Ethics of Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to expose legal violations and conflicts of interest against her own Party, ran against the Republican Governor to restore Ethics and Credibility to the State and her husband quit his Oil Job of 17years when the Oil and Gas interests began to negotiation with her administration as well as passing a Landmark Ethics Bill for her state.

As Governor, she was also the Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, managed the State Budget and killed a 'Bridge to Nowhere' project.

Below is a biased but factual comparison of Sarah Palin to Barack Obama.

  8. Nothing ever happens there.

  9. I heard something about passing a windfall tax on oil companies... something the Repugs would be calling socialism if Obama had done it.

  10. Nothing at all.

There are about 20 cities that have more people living in them than in Alaska. In theory, the mayors of those 20, larger than Alaska cities (in terms of population), have more experience/accomplishment/responsibility than Sarah Palin. She ran Alaska, how hard can that be? The state runs itself.

  11. She both opposed and supported the bridge to nowhere!

  12. Nothing which is why she has such a high approval rating.

  13. She was for the bridge that goes to nowhere......before she was against it.

She's a lightweight and everybody knows it except McCain apologists.

    They won't admit it.
