What exactly do the manufacturers do to fuel to make it into commercial gasoline?

How is fuel from the earth processed to make it into what we put into our automobile ?

Gasoline starts as CRUDE oil.  Most of the crude is separate into various products (motor oil, kerosene, gasoline, vasoline, etc.)

Then some additives are added (for octane rating, etc.) to make them into gasoline.

Refine it.  Basically, add chemicals, remove chemicals, heat it, filter it, and so on.
