    2.you must make an effort if you want to get what you desire in life.The amount of energy you put forth gets you back a reward equivalent to the time and energy you spent on it.

    3.You can ask for anything but you must be able to pay the price for what you want or you will have to settle for what you can afford. There is another expression that says "If you cannot get what you want, get what you need.


  2. I think that the second one probaly means that, for example, if your running a race and you only run half as fast as you know you can, then you will probably will do half as well as you know you can. Hope I helped
