  1. takes and reads x-rays.

  2. radiologists specialise in x-ray. x-rays are of different categories depending on the part of body they work on. usually, abdomen xrays are costly e. g.  barium swallow.

  3. they read xrays, ct scans, mri, ultrasound, etc. they sit in a quiet room dictating there findings into a microphone which is later typed out by a transcriptionist.

  4. Radiologists are physicians who read and interpret X-rays, MRI scans and CT scans. By reading these scans they can determine where or if some has a tumor, broken bones, and a myriad of other illinesses. They are usually brought in to consult in difficult cases.  And yes, they do make a nice nickel.

  5. There are 2 main categories of radiologists.  One is diagnostic, taking of pictures with x-rays and other  techniques and diagnosing problems.

The other is therapuetic.  These are the specialists who decide how much and of what type of radaiton to use  to treat diagnosed problems, eespecially in cancer cases.  SOme infections are handled by radiation, too.

    Both have many sub-divisions.
