Just out of curiosity. I've been to a few weddings (in australia) and most aussies don't tend to send save the date cards, only invitations.

  1. Basically, it's just a reminder for your guests that states your names, date, and location of your wedding.

  2. Save the dates always have:

The names of the happy couple (obviously)

    The date of the wedding

City location (not necessarily the reception hall, but save the dates are sent out so that people can get time off from work or work their plans around the wedding or simply just so that they can make arrangements if htey out of town guests for hotel accomodations)

Also, it should say, "Invitation soon to follow"

They are very simple but it's to let people know in advance so that they can make preparations as well!
