  1. probably it does.. the ice glaciers r melting causing polar bears to become extinct. global warming is diminishing the ozone layer which protects the earth from harmful rays. in some places it is flooding, and in others it is going into triple digit heat. global warming sucks!

  2. For now, lets just say that living will be hard on earth in the near future if we keep encouraging global warming.

global warming is caused by all the burning of fuels from industries to cars. we do need some co2 in the air or else our planet will become cold but rite now we are building up too much co2 in the atmosphere that it is trapping so much sun radiation in the planet and therefore as a result the polar ice caps are melting very quickly. I believe that breathing will be very hard in the near future if we keep this up.

If u notice that if been so cold lately, that is because  the ice glaciers are melting and causing cold water. therefore, the cold water has moved up to our places by wind causing cold weather and rain. but this will soon go away and the heat will become hotter and hotter.

  3. Contrary to what some people (mostly extremists) say, the world will not enter an age of uncontrolled temperature rise.  Most level headed scientists will agree that there is no threat of this sort of escalation in temperatures.

What you will see is a shift in biomes and ecosystems.  The ranges of animals that we know will shift (we are seeing this now).  Some animals that are thermally restricted (have low tolerances to temperature changes) will likely become extinct (the pika comes to mind).  As such some places will become more prone to forest fires, some places will become more prone to flooding, but at the same time, some places that are at the extremes will become less extreme and more hospitable.  In the end, the boreal forest will still exist, coral reefs wills till exist, deserts will exist, grasslands will exist and tropical rain forests will still exist, they just won't have the same extents that we know them to have now, they like animals will migrate with climate.

The thing that poses the largest risk and is fairly undeniable is that if the ice caps do melt, there will be flooding and low lying coastal areas around the world will likely flood.  This has happened in the past.  It is part of the glacial cycle.  Just like we know that sea levels drop during ice ages.

Beyond that, much of what many people claim is speculation.  Will the human race go extinct?  No.  Because we have such a cosmopolitan distribution we can survive this sort of change.  We have also removed ourselves from full dependecies on nature, so we can adapt to the changes via technology.

    Hope that helps.
