What exactly does hard to get mean??

i asked another question and people told me to play hard to get [[he texts me alot and idk if hes into me]]. how do you "play hard to get" by texting. do i just not text him back?? im afraid that he will get uninterested if i do that.

If he gets uninterested when not immediately texted back he's not worth the effort anyhow.

You can keep him waiting for a few days at least, and see if he starts texting you again...If not you can always text him back after a day or 5.

ahh im in the same situation with the texting and not knowing if he likes me or not. dont just ignore his texts cause he wont think you like him then....just like if he asks you out like on a date say your busy but maybe next weekend or something. im not sure how else you could play hard to get over texting....haha im trying to figure it out tho, so let me knowww

Playing hard to get can be tricky business, especially if you really like the guy. If you choose to play hard to get it just means that you don't show too much emotion and act as if you aren't really interested in him even though you are. You don't have to completely ignore his text messages. If he sends you lots of txts as you say, don't reply back straight away. Let him wait and make him chase after you.

It means don't always jump to reply to him like you don't have anything else going on. Let him wait for a bit. Don't make it seem like you've been hanging around waiting for him (even if you have).
