What exactly does the term "latin lover" mean?

I hear that term from my mom...What does it mean, exactly?

Latin lover normaly refers to an attractive man of Latin descent with great s*x appeal, charisma and probably a cute tush. He can be slightly arrogant or domineering but that only adds to his charm. The term Latin Lover was coined during the silent film era.

Somehow I also get the impression that they are more interested in married women than single.
