Seriously. I really want to know the thought process of one who believes America has won in Iraq. Try to stay focused on the question and avoid straw-men and red-herrings.

  1. We won victory. Victoriously. Lindsay Graham just said so.

  2. I don't believe that America shoulds stay in Iraq and I don't think they have accomplished much of anything, but you can view it from this point of view:

As Americas stay in Iraq, at least they are providing some sense of stability and security that will lead to democracy.  Without the American troops, terrorists can roam freely, now that doesn't sound too good, does it? Although, there is deaths, it's for the greater good and for the future.

  3. the only thing america has won is Iraqi assets as well as a new front to for starting war in middle east. now they have access to the surrounding countries. :D

  4. I am an american and from what I can guess higher gas prices, and a lot of dead soldiers.

`I support the soldiers, but not the war. It's funny how the people who actually choose if we go to war aren't the people who will actually die for the country.

Oh and the national treasure has gotten billions of dollars in intrest because they loan the us money in order to fund the war. Money we can never repay because we would have to borrow the money from them with intrest. They actually profit from war.

  5. not much.. they should bomb them

  6. I can tell you who lost:

Al-Qeada - a group that proclaimed Iraq was the frontline in the war against the U.S. and Western Civilization. They have been killed, captured, and dispersed thorughout the Middle East like the rats that they are.

Insurgents - all the other non-al-qaeda characters that attempted to take over Iraq.

Saddam Hussein - a dictator that is responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of his own people and neighbors.

Iran - who attempted, through the use of a proxy army of shitte militias, to take control of a large portion of Iraq, whom we now see have been defeated by the U.S. and Iraqi Armed Forces.

  7. The U.S., Britain, and other Coalition allies must remain united in their determination to continue the fight against Islamist terrorism in Iraq. An early withdrawal of Allied troops would have catastrophic implications for the future of the country and would be seen by most Iraqis as a betrayal of trust. By liberating Iraq and removing one of the most brutal regimes of modern times, the Coalition made a powerful commitment to the future of the Iraqi people that must be honored. There should be no major pullout of Allied forces from the country until key military objectives have been met and Iraq is stable and secure.

  8. Saddam is dead, 1 big terrorist down.....

  9. How about ensuring democracy in Iraq and ensuring a life long ally in Iraq?

This might come as a shock to you but you need to give things a little more time then 6 years..Let about 25 years or so pass and then tell me we have not dont the right thing..You people just want instant satisfaction and it simply does not work this way,

  10. it is about getting saddam after all these years from bush senior - to clinton saying it - this bush just did something about it. But we wouldn't have even messed with him if their was no attack. See the terrorists attacked us first. Did we attack them first?  umm no - if so let me know, i must've missed something.

But what we have won now is not very many casulties, because of the troop surge that worked, got saddam, uday, qusay, his bodyguards, his people in general, killed numerous amount of insurgents, foiled plots, crippled alqaeda, got zarqawi, killed his men. The reason why we did this was so the iraqi government can finally have some relief without hearing guns going off and concentrate on the benchmarks that we set for them to meet so success can begin to work and that is happening now.

Let me ask all of you a question - do you want freedom (no matter what it costs) or do you want to go to walmart, get hair cut, church, the mall and come back to hear a ticking sound when you start the engine and we pull out prematurely and fight them over here?

  11. Your question needs a long answer and I have other answers to work on however, I wish you would do a tour in Iraq like I did. I assure you that you will see both Iraqis and Americans in totally different eyes, assuming that you have not done a tour in Iraq. I always say, if you really want to know what's happening in Iraq, do a tour.

I hope this would help you a little bit answering your question.

  12. non-extremist Iraqis do indeed view Americans as allies in regards to fixing up their country. Give me sources for those "hundreds of thousands" killed by the US. Dont give me BS about suicide bombings being indirect deaths attributable to the US. Insurgents and guerillas don't count towards civilian casualties.

We are actually helping them rebuild their infrastructure better than ever, and unless you live in Iraq or are a soldier over there, you cannot say whether the Iraqi government is in name only...

  13. In reality only true war that America has really Won is the Independence War which are forefathers have fought for our freedom from England.

So many precious lives have been lost on both ends. Of course it our duty and honor to defend our nation and allies but reality I do not feel in Iraq nobody has truly WON but all we did was create more hatred and innocent victims lost.   Saddam Hussein is only a single fingernail size problem that was dealt with compared to the actual numbers of problems we will be facing in the long run.,

Another thing is our so called "Enemies" pictures us as their Terrorists.

Yes, I did my tour there as well.

  14. Giving Democracy to Iraq for one.I'm not over conservative or into politics for that matter, but what the US is trying to do for Iraq is the responsible and right thing to do.

But maybe our government could have done it more efficiently from the start? There were a lot of flaws and unseen issues in the initial presentation. If they had anticipated a lot of things and done the surge earlier, everything would be finished by now.

  15. OK, sure. The base for terrorists and money for their operations has been shut down. A despot has been deposed. People are now more free than ever before in the middle east meaning less threat to America and European nations.

The terrorists have taken their battles to the desert and not our city streets and we have planted the seed of democracy in the harsh desert of the middle east where fanaticism reigns to start with. Those were hard fought victories.

  16. Media publicity and money for the media. Plus soldiers get combat pay while they are over there.

  17. I just love the fact that all of you who had ansered had absolutly zero ******* experience in the military. I am a Ranger and I fight for my country so I just hate when a bunch of little kids talk **** about the US. We went in their to take out their WMD programs, yes I know they had none but they had the resources to make it and nobody could do anything about it without a war. Also oil was never the issue the US didn't touch any of it because we don't have to in fact we can take oil out of coal and guess whos the biggest coal country bingo the US so shut up about oil. God Bless The USA. I will serve it because thats my creed RLTW!!!

  18. We've won the hate of foreign people. Hooray!!

  19. More enemies over there...

  20. I nice trip experience...

  21. Oh you know, giving people a democracy, rather than a dictatorship.  Some people say it isn't worth having Americans killed, but I see that as an accomplishment and am so proud of my country.  We have found many parts to WMD, and the nuclear acid they use in the weapons in them.  The world now knows if they mess with us, we will mess with them.  I'm proud of my President, the troops, and my country.  God Bless America, Support Iraqi Freedom.

EDIT: Hey r****d, I DID cite my sources. My brother is in Iraq fighting for your God d**n freedom. I can't imagine what it would be like in America if our troops weren't in Iraq and Afghanistan

EDIT #2:  The Iraqi's DO love and cherish us.  We got TERRIBLE men out of power (Yes, like Sadaam) and it is showing! THEY ARE A DEMOCRACY! My brother was outside of Baghdad for 2 months and the neighborhood cooked homemade meals, and made feasts for the Americas EVERY SUNDAY! They kids run up to our troops and thank them.  You know what, just leave the country, we don't need your kind here.

  22. america wants to get rid of every possible threat.. second of all.. oil supply?? but the main part is the threat.. they do not want powers to mess with them... or else they can't control

  23. They have won the hatred of many many innocent people whose families have died since the war started. They have won billions of dollars worth of oil too.

  24. A power vacuum for Al Qaeda to step into when the US leaves giving them exactly what they wanted having tricked the Bush admin, something like a third of the world's oil and the chance to stir up a holy war against the West when Israel has to be supported against whoever moves first against them.

They won the whole world expensive oil, Saddam undercut OPEC ever since losing Gulf war one, he kept the price lower than it had been since the 60's giving the Clintons their golden years of almost free energy.  Our guys knew everyone but the rich and powerful had to lose out on their credit based economy that was engineered to go bust.  Russia is to become the new Middle East, China the industrial power, the US w/out taking over the entire Middle East is a busted flush..

  25. nothing...we have gained nothinggg

there is still nothing to win

tighten up border security that solves our terrorism problem

we need to get the f*ck out of the middle east

and out of a war we started under false pretenses (in iraq)

and stop trying to police the world

no wonder everybody hates our guts
