  1. Anytime you go to another country and take a class you are studying abroad. Most colleges have official programs that will let you study in another country for a semester or two and use those credits toward graduating.

  2. I think it means like...you study out side your learning circle. lol probaly like yeah a student switch or exchange student type thing.

actually, im starting to wonder myselfff! hahah

    hope i helped! <3

  3. Studying abroad is like student from A country go to another country B to study and live at an institution in country B..or an opportunity to go to school in other country...

  4. Study abroad is pretty much any situation where you leave your country, as a student, and usually, you bring that credit back to your home school.  It usually involves leaving your parents.

In High school, it's generally referred to as exchange, and the theory is, if you take time abroad, you are supposed to house a student at home, but it doesn't really always work that way.

In University, it's often referred to as a "Junior Year abroad", but some sophomores and many older students do it, too, and there are many more programs than the full year ones.

You can even participate in Teacher exchanges.  I have a friend who is leaving shortly to go to Australia for a couple of years on a Fulbright teacher's exchange.
