  1. The treaty is between the Cullen vampire clan and the Quillete(sp?) werewolf Native American Tribe.  Basically, the Cullens promised not to hunt/kill any humans while living in the area of Forks and that the Cullens would promise to stay off the La Push Reservation or at least the Quillete land.  In short, "you don't do anything and keep off our land, we won't tell your secret as long as you keep ours."

    Hope this helps.

  2. The treaty is an agreement between the cullens and Jake's granddad (Ephriam Black sp?). When they made it, years ago, Alice and Jasper hadn't joined the coven yet. They stayed in forks for a while, then moved on. They are now back in forks again and they thought all the werewolves had died out with Ephriam(sp?). They still honoured the treaty.

    The treaty is.....The werewolves wont attack the cullens as long as they:

    a) refrain from killing or biting any human in the area;

    b) don't hunt animals in the area.

    c) stay off the reservation.

    If the cullens do this, the werewolves will stay off cullen land as well. We assume this to be the are surrounding their house. Forks is neutral. The werewolves also wont give away the cullens secret existence.

    The treaty is relaxed when the vampires and werwolves are fighting common enemies eg. victoria and the newborns. In these instances werewolves can go on cullen land, cullens can enter La Push.

  3. The werewolves' mission in life was to protect, to kill any vampires and keep people safe from them.

    The Cullens however (the vampires in the twilight series), claimed they were different from other vampires, that they didn't kill or take blood from humans. So when they started living on the same land as the werewolves (the town of Forks), they made a treaty with them.

    The treaty said that the vampires would never bite a human, or step on their land. And in return, the werewolves would let them live in peace, and never tell anyone their secret (about the existance of vampires).

  4. The vampires (the cullens) can't create any more vampires or attack any humans. They also have to stay away from the reservation where the pack lives (La Push). The wolves are just there to enforce it and keep the peace.

  5. The Cullens can not bite any humans.

    Thats essentially the gist of it. That means they can't feed off of or turn any humans without provoking the wolves.

    In return, the wolves leave the Cullens alone and don't chase them away from the area around La Push or try to attack/kill them. The vamps are not allowed on La Push grounds though, I'm fairly certain.
