Also, isn't got supposed to be all powerful? If he is offended by something that is a sign of weakness, is it not?

  1. True..

Hmm I am a christian and it got me thinking..

sigh, I wish my christian brothers arent so narrow minded..

  2. haha you are right!

  3. Q1) anything that's fun (minus murder and theft),

    Q2) It doesn't

  4. So I guess that if you have ever been offended, you are week? Sin is disobedience to God. Or falling short of God's glory and perfection. God is not only all powerful, but all loving. And unless one opens their minds and hearts will never understand.

  5. Sin is wrongdoing.

If someone cannot see the problem with doing bad things, and the problems that wrongdoing does, that is THEIR problem.

God just wants us to do better.

  6. He doesn't like us to ruin his world.

  7. wow you are absolutely right. i was a christian for over 10 years but at this moment i am now an atheist. thank you

  8. tax evasion is a sin, lol

  9. god doesn't feel pain, he laughs at it. a sin is something against virtue. IT IS AN ACT OF THE EGO.

  10. Sin is any thought, word or action contrary to God's law (which is the ten commandments and the proclamations of the Church).  It bothers God because sin is a rejection of God's love choosing a created object over the creator. If offends God, because it damns our souls, souls which he loves and created.

  11. If you do a sin you don't listen the preacher. If you don't listen the preacher you aren't giving him your money. If you don't give him your money he can't buy that gold plated, 5 persons jacuzzi. So if the preacher doesn't get some the god is bothered.

  12. sin used to mean just a small mistake like shooting an arrow and missing a target was a sin but christians got the idea that sin was bad and that you needed forgivness from god for yours sins and burned anyone at the stake for disagreeing with them. sorry but its reality.

  13. Sin is something that will highly impact your spiritual progress toward god,and cause your soul to go to a more materialistic and egoistic platform. Many religions have many different views on what that includes or what it does not.But as a Hindu going to the ISKCON temple,I'm taught the most broadest and basic rules, things that people never think of when they say 'sin' as most think of murder or theft, unkindness, etc.

I'm not EVER supposed to do the following:

    Meat Eating

    Gambling

    Illicit s*x

    Self Intoxication

We believe those things affect spiritual progress the most.'Thou Shall Not Kill' in that broadest term isn't included in my religion because we believe that a human should perform whatever his/her material duty is,and the laws of the state should be followed in that case. For example,my religion says there is nothing wrong about killing for your country, because that's ones duty, and it is an honorable and selfless action for a person to fight for what is right.

  14. Literally, a missing of the mark,

according to the Hebrew and Greek Bible texts.

God Himself sets the "mark" that His intelligent creatures are to reach.

Missing that mark is sin, which is also unrighteousness, or lawlessness.

    Rom 3:23; 1 John 5:17, 3:4.

Sin is anything not in harmony with God's personality,

standards, ways, and will, all of which are Holy.

It may involve wrong conduct, failure to do what should be done,

ungodly speech, unclean thoughts, or desires or motives that are selfish.

The Bible differentiates between inherited sin and willful sin,

between an act of sin over which a person is repentant and the practice of sin.

    edit:

Since 1 person said God doesn't feel pain; here we go.....

Ex 32:14 Jehovah began to feel....

    Zec 1:17 God feels ......

Zec 2:8 ...for he that is touching you is touching my eyeball.

Have you ever been poked in the eye?

    Hurts, don't it?

    So, God Does FEEL PAIN.

    Also Hurt.

    From dictionary.com

    Pain: 2. A distressing sensation.

to cause physical pain or hurt.

~Pain; suggests a sudden sharp twinge.

  15. Anything that separates us from God's will for our life. He longs to have a personal relationship with us, and sin keeps us spatted from Him
