What exactly is MIRC?

It's been forever since I've even touched it... but I never really even knew what MIRC was... is it just chatting software? What else can you do with it? Is there a tutorial site that anyone has used to give them an idea of its capabilites?

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. Basically, it's a software which allows you to connect servers, and in that servers you'll find channels. For example, if you love music, you can connect to Quakenet (a server) and make /join #music. So, it's good if you're looking for some specific area to discuss about. Furthermore, you can chat private with someone.
