Just to point out that it is NOT the American version of Internet Explorer like someone just said.

It is a totally different web browser made by a different company. It is very popular among the I.T community and known for being more secure and more stable. It is now getting popular among non-IT experts as well as it gets more well known. I personally use it and find it a lot better then Internet Explorer.

You don't need it, but I personally recommend it.

Mozilla Firefox is another browser, like internet explorer.

You dont Need it however it can perform better than internet explorer when it comes to some things.

I use internet explorer, and i live in the UK.

Mozilla Firefox is an open source web browser.  Open source means that it is FREE and it is LEGAL, which are two things that don't normally come together online.  I found that it is better than Internet Explorer.  When I first got my computer I could not download the flash player needed to watch streaming video until I downloaded Firefox.  I never use Internet Explorer now.
