I am wondering what a tuner monster is? i've read some explanations, but they make no sense to me. So can someone put in details what a tuner monster is, and what makes it a tuner monster? How can u tell if a monster is a tuner or not? How to u combine the tuners and non tuners to synchro summon?

  1. a tuner is a card that gets to help out a synchro when combined they make powerful monsters(most tuners are normal monsters anyway)

  2. there these normal monsters that combine really cool :P

  3. you can tell whether a card is a tuner because where it says its type (warrior, fiend, dark/effect etc) it will say tuner aswell (similar to spirit and toon monsters eg. dragon/spirit, dragon/toon, warrior/tuner)

a synchro summon is similar to a contact fusion ... you need any tuner (unless otherwise stated like junk warrior) and some non tuner monster/s ... as long as the amount adds upto the level of the synchro monster you want to bring out (you dont need to use all monsters you control for the summon) you just announce that you are going to synchro summon, send the required monsters to the graveyard (or rfp zone if macro cosmos/similar is active)(note that they dont go back to the deck like contact fusions) and place the synchro monster on the field from your fusion deck ... the synchro can then be special summoned from the graveyard with cards like monster reborn

    hope this helps

  4. Tuner Monsters are a new Archtype of Monster cards, you can use almost any Tuner monster with a non-Tuner monster to Synchro Summon, there are few monsters where you have to use a specific Tuner to summon with, like Junk Warrior needs Junk Synchron, but, you have to have monsters that add up to exactly the same amount of stars as the Synchro you're summoning, like you'd need a Lv 2 Monster and a Lv 3 Monster to summon a Lv 5 Synchro, but 1 of them needs to be a Tuner, hope this helped :D
