  1. A watt is a measure of power. In electrical terms, this is 1W=1V*1A.

Btw., One watt is not randomly assigned a value - it is the same amount whether it is electrical, thermal, mechanical or chemical power.

    1 W = 1 V* 1A = 1J/s = 1 N* m/ s

  2. One watt is exactly one volt multiplied by one amp.

A volt is defined as a joule per coulomb, and an amp is defined by a coulomb per second.  If you multiply these terms, the coulombs cancel, and you're left with one joule per second, which is a watt.

  3. Volts times amps equals watts. 2 volts and 1/2 an amp....a million volts times a millionth of an amp...any combination that comes out to one.
