  1. Side out is when your team loses the serve.

  2. A sideout occurs when the receiving team successfuly wins the rally against the serving team.  The receiving team then becomes the serving team.

    Basically, you lose the serve.

  3. it's when you get the ball to serve form the opposing team...

players say the sideout cheer when thye want to get the ball to serve from the other team

  4. A side out is when the non-serving team gets a point because the serving team didn't make the serve (ex: didn't make it over the net, went out of bounds)

  5. There are cheers for side out and that typically means your team doesn't have possesion and you want to win the point or force the opponent to hit the ball out of bounds.

  6. its telling the other team to lose their sever. it think its a pretty stupid saying and that. teams should say something else. i mean lets have good sportsmanship right?

  7. Before most rules were changed to rally scoring where a point is awarded each time the ball is served, your team had to serve to get a point.  When the other team served, they would either score (and get a point) or your team would get the ball back and rotate (this is a side out).  So when your team is serving, you want to get a point.  And when the other team is serving, you want to side out.

  8. The change in service - which USED to change who could score, which was only from the serving side

  9. is when you get a point off the other teams serve
