Since women already have equal rights (feel free to tell me what legal rights women are lacking, as I'm unaware of any), what exactly would you define an anti feminists goals as being ? Is that just a man who wants some peace and quiet ?

  1. Some one who's against anti-male hatred and more special rights for women that feminist constantly trying to fight for.

  2. What is an anti-feminist? There are quite a few varieties:

    Some are women-hating anti-feminists:

    Some are marriage hating anti-feminists:

    Some are feminist-hating anti-feminists:

Seems like these groups have a lot more on their minds than peace and quiet-they seem more than a bit upset about their oppression by women and feminists in particular.

  3. First, there are women anti-feminists.

Usually an anti-feminist is a person who has realized that men and women are equal, and now all that feminists want to do is get more unneeded rights for women.

  4. I don't like the word Anti-feminist, as if I didn't want women to have equal rights. I agree with Merrik when he says that anti-feminism is not wanting equal right...I am not one of them, but I am not a feminist. Not a modern day feminist anyway. I appreciate the fact that these women worked so hard to get us equality, but they are done. We have equal rights, GO TO SOME PLACE THAT'S NEEDS YOU!

I also agree with Merrik about being Pro-women's rights. Not an anti-feminist. Not a feminist.....just Pro-women's rights. Anti-feminist just sounds sexist.

  5. Someone who wants to take those rights away. That's fundamental anti-feminism. What we see here is mostly an opposition to opportunism.

  6. Actually there are plenty of female 'anti-feminists'. Maybe they don't like the fact that other women look down at them because they do the 'female jobs' such as cooking and cleaning or maybe they just believe that thats what all women should do. Like in the 1800's in contrast to the rising feminism, there were the women with Victorian Values who were pious and subservent and etc.

  7. Most anti-feminists just seem to be sick of modern feminist melodrama. Few if any want to take women's rights away. Of course, feminists would claim otherwise, to invalidate their opposition.

  8. Hmm. I'd define myself as an anti-feminist, and I am female.

The way I see it, feminists are those that believe women are still being oppressed.  They believe that women receive unfairly lower salaries, few job opportunities, and should be offered the same jobs as any male.

As an "anti-feminist", I disagree.  I think that there are some jobs that, in general, just can't be done by women (involving body strength).  No matter how much we might like to think so, we don't have the physical strength of men (statistically speaking).  I think that women are being given equal opportunities in jobs where they are equally capable, and I see feminists as the women that want the easy way to get the job/raise/whatever, which is screaming "Sexism".

Not an expert on what feminists think though, so if you're a feminist and you disagree with my definition, please explain.

  9. Everyone wants peace of mind.

Anti feminists are those who are completely against feminism and what it stands for. They relate it completely with radicalism.Feminism has many forms, radical being only one of them.It started with radical feminism so as to provide the shock value.Anyways without digressing from the issue, I would say that liberal feminism is the "ism" of the day. The gender roles are no longer as segregated as they used to be.Men and Women work and do house jobs as well. Disliking feminists cuz they look down upon cooking or cleaning is a false notion.Feminists don't look down on these roles. They believe in having the freedom to choose the kind of dependence they want just like men. Since we are all interdependent on each other, the concept of total freedom is misleading

  10. Thats when women use the sexist card to get whatever they want, and these  men aren't afraid to tell them to shut up.  A lot of men are afraid that women will call them sexist so they put up with all their c**p, even if that women is going overboard(and you know there are many of those types).  There are things in this world that women can not do, and some are yet to accept that.

  11. An anti-feminist is someone who is against feminism, or it could be just someone against radical feminism.

  12. I'm sort of on the fence between being a non-feminist and an anti-feminist. There are some aspects of modern feminism that I am against, but there are others that just make me yawn and find something better to think about. I don't really have goals, other than to refuse to buy into the lies and propaganda and to speak up when I encounter them. That's all. I don't want to see women stripped of their rights and freedoms (other than the right to abort a perfectly healthy baby for reasons of convenience - I don't think anyone should have the right to kill their own child). I'm just sick of all the b.s., the sexism, the victim mentality, the fighting and ugliness, and the insistence that traditional values are defunct and fit only for stupid people.

  13. I would label myself as anti feminist, but I would say that I am in full agreement women's liberation.

I do not believe that women should get special treatment or that women who have children should make it their priority to have a "career" over raising her children.

My goals are to take care of the children I value so greatly and show them a mommy and daddy that love each other, so they never feel insecure about the world they live in.

And a side note this doesn't mean women have to clean and bake cookies all day. I help run our property development company and I have a custom jewelry business on the side, but my children know their needs come before everything Daddy is the primary provider and mommy is the nurturer.

  14. I'm an anti-feminist woman who does not give a rats <cough> about being equal; nor will I shoulder the blame because some feminists are so d**n insecure that they have to blame women like me because they aren't getting their ways. There's no law on this planet that says every single woman has to be a feminist; nor do I ever intend on being one; any feminists who feels she is not getting what she wants should start blaming her self; not others; passing blame gets nothing done.  My being equal is not ever going to make me more of a woman than what I already am; nor will it make me more of a human-being than what I already am. That word feminism isn't going to do a d**n thing for me; I'm the one who has to either take a dunk or get off the pot.

  15. I think anti feminist are men AND women who believe if women aren't submissive little air heads, it means men are some how castrated. The anti feminist men on here don't strike me as being peaceful and wanting quit, unless of course it's just the women who are to be quiet.

  16. Well, anti-feminist is probably a person who doesn't think that women should have equal rights. I am a man and I think that women should have equal rights, but that is already achieved in Europe and the US(and other places). Shouldn't we be doing something to help out the poor suppressed women in the Middle East? Feminism is most needed there.
