  1. For insurance you just go around the comparison sites, fill in the forms and see what they "quote you" that's what their price is.

There are all kinds with all kinds of prices so I always advice to "get many quotes", it means trying every site till you find a cheap one then go for it.

See this http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html  they'll come back with prices compared from different insurers in your area. It's very quick and free of charge. Tons more in google and no doubt, on this very page. Getting quoted is free so you might as well use it.

  2. I have met this kind of situation before, here is the place I found useful.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  3. A car insurance quote is just like, them telling you approximately how much the insurance will cost.

If you want to buy an insure a car, after the car is purchased then you need to insure it before you can register it with your local dmv. in some regions, the insurance and registration come from the same place, but most are separate. So after you insure it you can register it and drive away!

  4. An insurance quote is an estimation of what your cost will be based on the information you have provided, which would include the car you are looking to insure, and things like your address, age, driving record, and any tickets or accidents you have had.

Based on that, they give you an estimate.  If you accept and sign up they will run your driving record, and if they find anything you left out your actual bill may be higher.

  5. numom, There are tons of sites where you can get a free insurance quote. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Free-Aut... It only takes roughly 10 minutes to do.
