What exactly is anorexic?

Is it the other name for obiesty?I searched the internet and found results of woman with strange(not so much but a little fat)bodies.Is it a disease?

it's when a person thinks that they are fat, but they really aren't, so they stop eating and become extremely skinny

The correct term is Aorexia Nervosa - a disease found in teenager girls or models   where they are afraid of eating due to fear of getting fat ,actually they are emaciated and malnourished with severe loss of appetite..Its a psychiatric disorder and becoming common in young women ,ultimately leads to complications and death.

anorexia*  is when a female or male isn't comfortable with their weight and either eats a whole lot less or just totally stops eating. Eventually if it goes too far girls like nicole richie (who is 21) become like....90 pounds and their rib cages show and unfortunately some girls die from it..

Anorexia is a disease (often found in younger women). It consists of restricting food intake. It can cause osteoporosis, electrolyte imbalances which lead to heart problems. I don't know of another name for obesity. I think that is the medical term. There is morbidly obese. It goes off the BMI (Body Mass Index).

Anorexia IS a disease.  It's the act of denying yourself most or all food, in order to lose weight as quickly as possible.  Anorexics often consider themselves to be horribly obese even when they are severely emaciated, and also suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and other emotional/mental problems.
