What exactly is going on with LimeWire and the such?

Question

I vaguely remember hearing a news report on the crackdown on illegal downloading from LimeWire a while ago, and I also heard that there will/should/might be a deadline where all Internet service providers will monitor their users and their downloads 24/7.

Can anyone please tell me:

a) The actual deadline if there is one

b) If LimeWire will be monitored also

c) If there is an agreement with iTunes, Napster etc to lower their prices

d) When this "price decrease" will happen

I would prefer it if there were no answers simply saying "dont download from limewire its illegal" - I know it is, but when will it be monitored is what I would like to know.

I did have it only when I tried to download I was getting a stupid message from some American man so I don't bother with it any more. I have had problems at the moment with too many things running that I wasn't aware of. I really hope you get it sorted out cause if you know what your doing, unlike me then it's good. Good luck

There is no deadline. Its just an idea thats been touted around at the moment. An idea thats totally unworkeable.

As for the music industry, they have been ripping people off for years, and only moan now because people can get their own back. F' em I say!
