It's a country term I've been wondering about for a couple years.

  1. Two trackin' is when you are driving on the old dirt roads out in the country where the grass and weeds have grown down the middle, leaving two tracks visible. Get it-"two track".  These roads are typically used by farmers and hunters to get to the fields or the woods. The old two tracks are getting scarce now with all the new construction, but, they're still out there, you just have to find them.

If you want to go two trackin', do it on a day without rain, unless you have a 4x4. If you get a car stuck in a mud hole, it can be a pretty long walk to the next farm for help.

  2. I've heard and seen the term if we're thinking about the same thing a two tracker is the same I believe as dog trackin. For instance: As you follow a car that's obviously been in an accident and the frame is bent as you sight down either side of the car the rear wheels are not following the same set of tracks as the rear wheels. It's as if you can actually see one or the other side doors as it travels crookedly down the highway.

If you've ever seen a larger dog trot away from you his or her rear end twists slightly to one side so their feet don't touch.

It's like the rear end and rear suspension is bent off to the right or left.

  3. This would be my guess.  Let us say you have a race track and around the outside is 1 track (they may use for Nascar races as an example) then on the inside is another track that they may use for drag racing. Therefore, there are 2 different tracks with in one.

This is purely speculation because I do not have definitive answer for this question, but the conclusion kind of makes sense.
