  1. Hope this answers all your questions including the ones you haven't yet asked.

  2. Reiki is a magical power that people pretend they have to fool people in thinking they're being healed.

  3. Reiki is a energy that is used to heal our body. We can gain reiki from reiki from master who have completed all level in reiki. It will surely heal. it is not only for healing but used for different things.

You can use reiki before writing an exam. it is also used for scanning our body to find any disorder in our body. if you use reiki power always you can see energy flowing through the hands by vibrating. it also will heal people without physical touch.

Learning reiki power is very useful to you

  4. It is a fake religion.   Not from God or God's healing powers.

Sounds like some India cult c**p to me.

  5. I have been teaching Reiki at a Local Community College, for Cont. Nursing Education since 1998.  Reiki is a very welcome stress reduction/Pain Management technique that inspires positive thoughts and healing of the mind body and spirit.

As a teacher, I encourage my students to assist me in practicing Reiki at a Cancer Research Center and Health Fairs all over town. We have been promoting Reiki this way for over 5 years.

Many Companies/business now are becoming more aware of how important it is for Wellness in the work place and they are providing their people/employees with  Health and Wellness  Fairs to education their people on staying healthy. It is definatley a benefit to keep employees healthy.

When a person is sick and cannot be at work, the employer pays Sick Leave and insurance, and basically loses money. So Health Fairs are becoming more and more popular. I'm talking about companies such as Banks, United Technologies, Call Centers, not just medical groups.

Many of the first time clients were very reluctant and thought reiki was Bs until they tried it out, then they were totally amazed at the results. And look for Reiki Practitioners all over town.

  6. Reiki is a beautiful thing. It is not a religion and it is not a magical power as the negative and uninformed respondents would like to have people believe. Reiki does not depend on the belief of the recipient in order to be effective.

When you cut yourself, if you have a relatively healthy system, the cut heals. If you get a cold, after about a week the cold heals. This is not through magic or religion or belief. This is through the natural wisdom of the body to send its healing energies where they are needed so that it may be restored to health.

Reiki is just tapping in to this intelligence and healing energy to give extra support to the body, mind and spirit to bring healing.

Reiki is definitely worth learning. I recommend receiving it at least a time or two before learning to do it so that you know what you are getting in to. Additionally, as a practitioner you should not be recommending to others what you have not done or will not do for yourself. That is a matter of integrity.

Reiki can heal physical, emotional and spiritual issues. It also relieves stress and reduces pain. It can help clear blocks to communication and creativity and increase general well being.

It is wonderful and I recommend it to everyone.

  7. This is from the Reiki I manual I put together for my certification classes:

    "What is Reiki?

Reiki is a hands-on healing technique that originated in Japan. Reiki is a Japanese word that roughly translates "universal life-force energy". What Reiki refers to is a codified system of non-invasive, hands-on healing method that utilizes the life-force energy that surrounds every living thing in the universe (the Chinese "chi", Japanese "ki", Hindu "prana", the Tao, etc) to aid in the release of blockages in the energetic nervous system in the body, speeding recovery from dis-ease. The technique works on the same principle as acupuncture, shiatsu, reflexology and other Eastern methods that are being recognized and covered by many major insurance companies world-wide. Reiki has no contraindications and does not require the client to disrobe to receive a treatment. Reiki has been clinically proven to reduce stress, aid in pain management, speed recovery from illness and surgery, and mentally support those coping with traumatic life changes and issues.

A Reiki treatment consists mainly of the healer moving her hands through a series of traditional positions on the body. These hand-positions correspond to the major energetic centers and pathways in the body, called chakras and meridians in Eastern medicine. There is little to no pressure applied by the hands, and at some points the healer may lift them off the body's surface to work in the auric field. All that is required of the client during the treatment is that they close their eyes, relax and open themselves to the experience.

The most commonly reported experience during a treatment is a profound sense of peace and relaxation that often lasts for days after a treatment. Other clients may slip into a light-trance or dreamlike state where memories or vivid daydreams may dance before them. Often these visions hold a key to one's current state of health and mind, and can serve as a powerful form of constructive introspection. The average treatment lasts 60 minutes."

Is it worth learning? Absolutely! It's simple to learn and use, and you can use it on yourself as well. It has many uses besides healing - you can clear a space of stagnant or unwanted energy with it, you can charge water/vitamins/food in order to more fully activate the positive qualities of it, you can use it as a form of meditation for spiritual development, you can use it to place protective energy around yourself or a loved one, you can use it to help manifest goals, you can use it to make affirmations more powerful...the list is really only limited by your imagination!

Does it heal? Yes it does. For one small example, I saw a client who had hypothyroidism and was on medication for it. They were suffering with many of the side-effects of such a condition. We worked with the energy in that area, as well as with keeping the rest of the body energy free and well charged. Within 3 weeks they noticed a marked change in their level of energy, mood, overall feeling of wellbeing. The next step will be in a few weeks to have the doctor re-test to see if reducing the medication would be prudent with the progress.

My partner has a chronic back issue, and since I've began providing Reiki, the recurrance rate of the problem has dramatically lessened, and when it does happen the recovery is much faster and disrupts his life less.

There are plenty to instances of healing and great progress being made through Reiki. If you Google it, you'll find even more, including many clinical trials.
