  2. Replacement planting is the replacement of any plant species you cut from a protected area. The law generally requires that the same species should be planted, unless otherwise directed by the Council. This is to ensure that there would be no damage in the otherwise healthy area.

  3. Replacement planting is replacing the plants destoyed during construction or litoral zones in say a pond. wetlands are a good example also. The idea is to plant native vegetation but not all one species, 3 or 4 are recommended. small and large, mixed.
