What exactly is the ACT test whats the difference between the ACT and the SAT? and is the ACT harder?

im trying to decide which test would be better for me to take

ACT was easier for me.. and for most of the people in my school.

i took both, and on SAT i had enough time to finish all the sections, while on ACT, i ran out of time for the reading section.

but i think questions on SAT were harder...

for ACT there are only 4 sections

-English 75 questions 45 min

-Math 60 questions 60 min

-Reading 40 questions 35 min

-Science 40 questions 35 min

(plus optinal essay)

for SAT there are 10 sections

i cant really remember but there are 3 math, 3 reading, 3 writing with shorter amount of time.
