  1. they have winnings of over 2000 ...the best horses and usually cost a bomb! they can jump in any calsses really but generly do the bigger ones. try the bsja website for this sort of information

  2. they are the top ranked horses in the counrty and have special classes.  they compete in the biggest classes in the country.  they are horses that have won over £2000 in prize money (if your in UK that is) :)

  3. They can jump in whatever they are capable of doing and move up and down levels throughout their show life. To be a grade "A" show jumper it is CRITICAL that the horse have a background in dressage at least throught level 3. I have even ridden some with Prix St George training (level 5). The reason for this is because you are able to adjust strides easier, package and un-package your horse (collect and un-collect properly) easier, and have a stright horse that has overall balance and is inbeween your legs, that has more weight on their hind quarters for more power over the jump.

I hope that this helps you out!

  4. I have one CLASS A showjumper, i didn't train her personally, i just bought her because she was no good to her owner because she got scared off jumps after she fell.

but i took her back into jumps and slowly but surely she made some jumps.

She can now jump 6ft with ease!

Thats what you call a CLASS A !

I'd love to sell her but i can't because i'm so attached. She is only 16.1 Shire X Warmblood  and i love her so much. I go to shows with her every saturday but she' s not proffesional as she suffers from Sweet Itch. =[

But a class A is the best kind of showjumper ever andcan only be put in class C,B,A jumps as they would always win with lower clazses.

  5. A grade A showjumper has more than 201 showjumping points. To achieve this level takes a lot of hard work and commitment on both the horse and riders level!

There are some classes to which these horses are restricted from jumping in - say novice qualifier classes and things like that.

    xx
