  1. I know one is more expensive than the other but dont know which one is the best, I usually get whichever one is there.

  2. The price.

  3. They are a different species of Salmon, the red is a Sockeye or Pacific Salmon mostly found in Alaska, the pink variety is a European salmon.

If you are buying farmed salmon the colour is obtained by artificial colouring added to the fishes food.

Red salmon is far superior in taste

  4. I think its just the difference between the fish. I know pink salmon is a smaller sized fish that they mostly catch in Alaska. We have Silver Salmon that we catch in Oregon. It's more the name than anything else. All the Salmon I've ate tastes the same.

  5. The exact difference btwn these 2 is just their colour. Red is older than the pink ones & taste much better.

  6. one is red and the other is pink??

  7. one is more expenive than the other

  8. ones not salmon

  9. As already mentioned, red is Sockeye and I think the pink is either Chum or Coho. European (atlantic) salmon is very seldom canned .

  10. Red salmon is younger than pink, thats all.

Red salmon tastes a lot stronger than pink I like it much better.

The older the salmon gets the less taste it has, some pink is almost tastless.
