  1. Endurance is the power of withstanding hardship or stress. Preserving our possessions; and continuing survival.

Perseverance is steadfastness. That is holding on to an action, belief or purpose without giving way.

'What  cannot be cured has to be endured' is the proverb.

  2. Endurance is usually correlated with physical activity, to endure hardship, endure resistance in doing something ie endurance to run 10 miles, endurance in a war.

Perseverance is usually correlated with mental strength. Persisting in achieving something, strong will ie persevering to the end.

So it is hot, I'm tired and lethargic, I can barely take a single step, but I still cross the finish line. This is endurance.

I've to organize an event, at each stage I'm facing set backs. I have a lot of things to juggle. The dead line is approaching, I feel like giving up, but I use all my mental strength and focus, and persevere to the end.

  3. endurance - to put up with

    perseverance - to keep going.....

  4. endurance is holding on for as long as possible for various reasons. perserverance is holding yourself up no matter the difficulties. the way i see it, endurance is holding the rope, until you either fall, or someone catches you. perserverance is tying a knot in the bottom of the rope, and slowly climbing.

hope i helped, and i wish you the best of days!

  5. endurance is more your ability to wether difficulty.

perseverance is to never give up despite the difficulties.

  6. Endurance is used when someone is faced with a physical hardship.  For example the runners in the Olympic Marathon portray a great sense of strength and endurance while running the 52.6 miles.  Perseverance is used when some one faces a emotional or physical hardship where others have failed or when an tragedy strikes.  For example the American Mens Volleyball team won the gold because they perservered despite the tragic death of their coaches father-in-law.

    I hope this helps.

  7. endurance is keepin it together  or bearing with

    during   (in process)

which is almost analogous with perseverance

perseverance  is more specifically directed to

persistence or steadfastness of a goal

  8. The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one often comes from a strong will, and ... Endurance is patience concentrated."--
