  1. the world cup rugby is union! and there is differences. If you want to see the best rugby league game watch state of origin!

  2. Rugby League in Australia is faster, harder and a far more Professional code to play ! The toughest contact sport in the World, yes for the best matches watch State of Origin, NSW v Queensland ! World Cup is Rugby, not League as NO ONE in the World could compete with Australia in Rugby League !

  3. Rugby Union is played by 15 people and is the superior of the codes, thats why all the league players come to union. there are 13 players in a rugby league team and there are no rucks once you get tackled 5 times you have to hand over the ball. the rugby world cup this year is rugby union

  4. The 2007 Rugby World Cup is for Rugby Union.

There are lots of differences between the two games, if you watch a few games you will see what I mean.

Rugby Union has 15 players while League has 13.  Rugby Union players will fight for possession of the ball through various means such as line outs, scrums, tackling etc and as long as the team with the ball keeps their possession they can keep pushing to their end of the field to score a try or drop goal whereas in rugby league the team with the ball must give up possession after being tackled six times.

There are alot more differences though - I could go on forever.  Try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_union and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_leagu... for more info.

    Hope I have helped.
