Question:

What exactly is the point of some people answering on here?!?

I really don't get why some morons feel the need to answer people's questions sometimes with bitchy, useless comments. Okay, fair enough, write a snappy comment if the person asking is being an arrogant idiot or asking a question that's been asked 400 times before, but if someone is asking a genuine question, aimed at specific people, why do some sad losers feel the need to give them a hard time about it?! Whether it's forcing their opinion down the asker's throat, or simply preaching or lecturing their views (any more people lecturing on s*x before marriage to someone with a slightly-s*x related question?), I don't get it. If you don't like/ agree with what the person is asking, don't answer! It's that easy!! Some people are on here with genuine problems, dilemmas or simply musings, and other muppets come along and try to make them feel bad about it! (And yes I realise I'm gonna get a lot of people giving me daft answers/ shouting at me now lol, but I'm just getting sick of some people on here constantly thinking they are clever-what exactly is the point in trying to make someone on the friggin internet feel small?!- and just needed to complain about it!! )

  1. Unfortunately, not everything is good. Yes, some people comment nasty thing and ask questions that been asked a million of times, but you know what their are other people who truly answer questions and  people who honsestly ask questions and that's what I love about yahoo answers.

  2. Good vent. I understand completely.

  3. Good point mate > but this site is a lot like what you find in life isn't it?

If the intent here is to share knowledge, many have missed the point.

But once in awhile I do see the need for humor > like the question: What do you call it when a woman is saving herself for marriage.  After reading 10 answers that said abstinence or chastity, I wanted to come up with something different, so I wrote temporary insanity.

Yes, I know it was wrong, but I can only take so much monotony.

  4. I totally understand. I've seen questions where people are truely sincere and are looking for real answers and then there are replies such as, "You're such a dumba**" or "Die you f**king idiot." Stuff like that makes me so sick and yes I do report answers like this for abuse. Then there are those people who type a bunch of mumbo jumbo and don't even answer the question.

  5. Sometimes the question may seem absolutely ridiculous and it' can be too difficult to resist the urge to be facetious.

And it passes the time until the next worthwhile question comes up.

Some of us on YA are very sad individuals with no lives and nothing better to do.

  6. Here you don't have to physically face anyone, you can hide your self behind and Avatar and play act a personality.  Internet has changed the social structure of our culture, allowing people to be that way in secret, feeling they will have no punishment.

  7. a SUTUP you know it all
