What exactly is the "UN"..(united nations?

Is it a group of countries? contenants? plz help...

in my eyes its just a low spec empire, other country's leaders are told to shut up my the prestdent of the UN, now telling a whole country to shut up, that takes a powerful man.

so the word, United could indicate the relations with the UK and US or the US with the UAE and their "OIL". so its the next best thing to the british empire.
