What exactly is the state of Elizabeth Edwards' (wife of John Edwards) health?

It's been described as "terminal," but does anyone have more information. Also it's been reported that Rielle Hunter, Edwards paramour, thinks she "will end up with him," and that's the reason she will not permit a paternity test "at this time." Does Rielle have grounds to be hopeful?

The last news I remember hearing is that her breast cancer had returned and spread into her rib.  She had a tumor in the rib.  That means it is stage IV.  

I think it's sick that John Edwards cheated on her, especially in her condition.  It's worse that the other woman seems to think Mrs. Edwards will be out of the way and she can move in.

I don't have any more information but all I can say is he is sure a scum bag for doing this to his wife while she is sick and dying with cancer. You know she is dying for God sakes couldn't he at least give wait until the poor lady was gone.

While I do not know the exact situation as only they can, I believe she has terminal cancer. No more treatments that can help. By the way, why is this anyones business but theirs? Again, the media picks this dirt up and sends it around and these people are left dealing with it. Men cheat everyday, while I DO NOT condone it, remember the old saying "Walk a mile in thier shoes before you judge them". People need to get on with their own lives and quit worrying about celebs and politicians. Worry about your children, your families, your parents, your job, your house, your property, your morals and eithics. Worry about the state of the ozone layer and the way the world is progressing and the way our government becomes more and more controlling.  Many more things to worry about than this.

The last time I heard, the cancer has gone up to stage 4. It's really sick of Edwards to cheat on her while she's dying or going under the treatment for cancer. I hope she will survive as I hope she'll get a miracle to recover fully and divorce that scumbag husband of hers because she deserves better.
