What exactly is the sticky stuff on tape?

what exactly is the stuff that makes tape sticky?i have heard on duct tape it is glue because you can kinda see it.but what is on scotch tape?you cant see any glue.

  1. It is glue, also known as a PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive).


  2. I'm gonna say mystery sticky stuff like hickdonald's mystery ingredient they have in burgers.

    However, I'm sorry i don't have a real answer for you.  I would email 3M and ask them.
